In a candid reflection, Nancy Sinatra recalled her father’s whirlwind marriage to Mia Farrow, describing the actress as “like a sister” and “a great girl.” While Frank himself admitted to his family that he didn’t expect the union to last more than a couple of years, Nancy believes part of his motivation was to protect Farrow from the relentless tabloid scrutiny and paparazzi attention she was facing at the time.
“I think it was very important to him that she be presented as a lady and not thought of as anything else,” Nancy shared, noting that she’s never directly discussed the matter with Farrow, but that the gesture reflected her father’s protective nature.
Addressing the long-circulating rumor that Farrow’s son, Ronan, might be Frank’s child, Nancy dismissed it outright as “nonsense” and expressed frustration that Farrow once joked “possibly” when asked about it. “She knew better,” Nancy said, adding that the comment was taken far too seriously and unfairly affected her own children, who were questioned about it.
Looking back, Nancy summed it up with a knowing smile: “What a life, honey, let me tell you.”
